Per USPSTF via UpToDate:

The following groups are at increased risk for syphilis and should be

screened [26,27] :

* All pregnant women at the first prenatal visit (and during the

third trimester and at delivery for women in high-risk groups). (See

" Pregnant women " below).

* Commercial sex workers

* Persons in correctional facilities

* Persons diagnosed with another STD

* MSM who engage in high risk behaviors

I have folks who fit in some of these categories.
