This could be a bit gross - burping

Hi All,

Sorry for the gross-ness of this post...but I'm dealing with

something and want to know if it's a shared experience.

I have periods of uncontrollable burping. It can last 20-30 minutes

and isn't necessarily related to just having eaten or drunk

something - although that is also a trigger. For example, when I

hop in the car after work to drive home, I will burp the *whole* way

home - 30 minute trip. Afterward I can feel quite queasy. It's

very irritating - and can be difficult to manage when around

people. If I try not to burp, I just end up with a lot of chest

pain. I've had my band for 8 months and it is reasonably tight -

but I don't think it's too tight.

I will be talking to my doctor on Wednesday. I haven't been taking

Degas tablets, but I'm seriously considering it. It's sort of built

up slowly, but now that it lasts 20-30 minutes and leaves me feeling

ill - I've got to do something about it.

I am grateful that I haven't become a trumpet trousers - but the

burping is starting to impact how I feel and can make me quite

miserable.

If you've suffered from this - was there anything you found

particularly helpful.

Thanks

Kate
