Guest guest
Hello, all! I've just completed C1W4, and it is going pretty well. I have lost 8 lbs. Of body weight (from 220 down to 212), and my body fat is down from 26.5% to 23.8% (assuming my caliper measurements are correct). I had started C1 wearing 38 " pants, and those are definitely getting loose. I began wearing some of my 36 " " incentive " pants about a week ago, and they fit pretty well. It's been years since I've worn 36's, let me tell you! I've even noticed my wedding ring is getting a bit looser, and I can sometimes take it on & off without the help of soap or water (sorry to say, but that's what has usually been required). ;-) It feels like I have built some muscle, particularly in the chest, although it is not really noticeable in the mirror. Also, based on my body fat %'s above, I supposedly have not really gained any lean mass. I really should get it measured more accurately somewhere. Training has gone well, and I have not missed a single day. I have increased the amount of weight I am lifting on some of the exercises, and have hit 10's pretty regularly. Nutrition is also working pretty well. I've only had a couple of " cheat " meals, and have mostly stuck to plan. I've founds some foods that " work " for me, given that I am a pretty picky eater. For example I was pleasantly surprised that I like Egg Beaters. I find them indistinguishable from real eggs when scrambled. They've become a breakfast staple for me. Free Day still scares me a bit. I don't get sick or anything, and I notice my portions are much smaller than they'd have been before, but I still enjoy it a bit too much, and this makes me worry about the long-term (i.e. falling off the wagon later). Also, it really causes the scale to spike the next day, and it takes a couple days to get it back on track. (Yes, I know the scale is not to be trusted, but I've found it to be fairly reliable as a short-term check, as long as I give it a few days to verify a " trend " is occurring.) It bugs me that I " waste " the first two days of the new week just getting back where I was the Saturday before. I have been faithfully lurking these past four weeks, and have been enjoying the good vibes. I hope to post my week 4 pictures in a few days. I am pumped going into week 5. This really seems to be working for me. --Terry
