email from one of my 77 yo male patients:

Dr. Annie: Just a follow up re: Dr. Ruckavina. {the cardiologist I referred him to} I am really impresse3d and

comfortable. He is having Dr. Holligsworth " Scope " my heart Friday

and if it is clean of blood clots they will then electrocute me and see if they

can't get my heart on a steady beat. He has several other thoughts of other

ideas for the future. He must believe that I'll survive Friday because he made

a follow up date for Aug the 18th. He stopped the Lysonapril and will replace

it later and cut the Metatoprial in half which we had alreday done.

In the future their practice is running a " alternate " to Coumiden

study and I will probably participate.

PS I thouught the staff was gonna call the EMT's when they ran the EKG. The

heart rate came in at 142!!

You must really excite me! Better have a dram of Malt after I leave in the

future. "
