Guest guest
Dr. R started me on DHEA. He said my cortisol levels were not too low and thought the DHEA would probably help to balance things out. I had been self dosing and had gotten up to 5 grains of Armour. The blood tests showed I was too high but the body temp showed I was still too low. He left me at 5 grains and said that as the other hormones balance out I might be able to cut back off such a high dose. He is very easy to talk to and does listen. I will talk to them after I do some research before I try anything else. Thanks. Lorna >
Guest guest
An estrogen cream to apply. Can get RX from your OB/Gyn.dlbunger wrote: I am reasonably sure it is the estrogen because after I have been on any of the estrogens I mentioned for about a week that is when the hot flashes start. I stop the estrogen and the hot flashes stop. I was totally off any estrogen for at least three months before trying the triest and had no hot flashes. And I also gain a few pounds, all around the mid-section when I am on estrogen, and it goes away when I get off. But I need something for the vaginal dryness, not sure what the answer is. Thanks.Lorna>>> > Are you sure that the estrogen is causing the hot flashes? Spikes of T3 from the Armour can do the same thing.> >
