WOW, way to go Wayne..

I am an ex WW and I totally agree with you, once you see the BFL way

suddenly everything they teach at WW sounds a bit strange..

They certainly don't focus on nutrition and exercise...

Good for you..

LMAO at this story Wayne! Oh I agree that you should write this

stuff down. You could write a freakin' book and make a bajillion

dollars.... " Wayne's BFL Journey -- Featuring the Pants-Falling-Down-

At-Work and the Weight-Watchers-Revolt Stories!! "

Good on ya, boy. Ya came back to the BFL fold right quick,

dintcha? ;)

It's funny you mentioned about a mental plateau... I

went to the gym with more determination than ever this

morning, and actually scared my trainer :-)

Oops. I forgot to say how funny I thought the story

was too. I especially thought it was REALLY funny

about the lady wanting to eat nothing but cookies and

have seperate points for real food. It almost sounds

like one of those 12-step anon groups. I thought I

needed them at one point, the original AA one, but did

some major research on them first. The only real thing

good about it is the group concept of being able to be

around people with the same problem as you. Other than

that it teaches powerlessness, helplessness and that

you need to be constantly on guard 24/7 because you

never know what'll make you fall of the wagon (whether

your trouble be with food, alcohol, drugs, etc). I

didn't want anything to do with it, especially since I

realized my problem was over-reaction. :) Besides I

save a few beers for cheat day since I can't afford

all the extra calories. When I do have a beer, I swig

that 95 calorie amstel light and flex my bicep

watching the .9 grams of protein and 3 grams of carbs

make my muscles swole and so Huge I have to take away

the H.

I'd think that a lot of these program don't want their clients to

succeed for the long-term. They want repeat customers. Someone might

lose 20 lbs or so and to them the program may have been a success.

Then they go off of it and don't find BFL or something else that

works to keep the weight off and build muscle so they go back to what

they did (or some other similar program) before since it " worked " .

The cycle then repeats.

I think Hugh's nephew who is in first grade calls it

the P word too. Kind of catches you off guard if you

hear him call it that, but thatis what it is.

Ha! That made me think of one time when I was in the

bathroom and a friend of mine and his 3 year old son

came in. He went into the stall to help his son

urinate. My friend teased me talking to his son

saying, " Let's go in here so you don't make matt feel

inadequate. " I knew he was talking about p-word size.

A second later his son says, " I have a big pee-pee,

like daddy. " He and I laughed hysterically for 5

minutes. :)

Matt,

I say, each to it's own. I don't want to, and will not

argue this point, but I know many people whose life

benefited immensely by AA. But, as I said, each to its

own.

Marta :-)

_______________________________________________________I

agree totally. AA (or 12-step groups)is a start that

can help people. Those people can either elevate the

group or stagnate in it since there are more groups

out there that teach people inner strength and teach

them to trust themselves. Like you said you, you don't

want to argue about it, and I don't either. Especially

since I'll win. Tee-Hee. :P

Okay Matt,

Since you are bigger than me, I won't press the point.

;-D

Marta

Seeing that I am 6'2 " 206lbs, I'd hope I'm bigger than
