Guest guest
I don't have any firsthand experience with it but I know quite a few people doing the protocol and I've not heard *one* person say it wasn't worth it. I can't afford the GAR right now but I think I will eventually get it for the entire family. Its pretty expensive and time consuming, the web forum is hard to navigate and it's not easy to understand the terminology. You almost have to have a degree in genetics, chemistry and biochemistry to fully understand what is going on. She doesn't see patients personally so you have to rely on reading the books and going to the forum for any help. You really have to learn the protocol on your own. There are a few DAN!'s that are implementing the protocol on the tough nuts (I've heard Dr. Woeller is one of them but not sure). She stopped seeing patients a few years ago when she became too overwhelmed and she simply wasn't very good with the patients. She's just better at research. I think her people skills were pretty off. I don't think she was mean or anything like that, I just think people had a hard time understanding her and were very vocal in their complaints. Overall, I would personally get the GAR right this very second if I could afford it. I've never heard one bad thing about the protocol itself (just figuring it out and then affording it and having the time). There is some crossover with DAN! although she prefers to heal the genetic problem causing kids to hold on to metals rather than chelate. The two protocols don't really mix well but there is some crossover. Many kids that are non-responders to other protocols tend to respond well since you are treating the genes. Non-responders tend to have a CBS mutation and have issues with sulfur which makes them poor candidates for DAN! (along with other issues).
