Guest guest
" I was wondering what you meant about it being more arrogant to desire to not be arrogant. " Kieran Interesting to see I'm viewing it from a different (but not conflicting) angle to Tom. My perspective is from Ramana Mahashi, who had just one question - " Who am I? " I look at a behaviour, at a thought and feeling, and I label it good/bad/arrogant; who appointed me judge and jury, even over my self? What gives me the right to judge myself? And how would I know if my judgements are accurate? For me to give such respect to my own opinion is arrogance - that's what I meant. We tend to think an issue is over once we label it, trying to control the eternal energy by freezing it in space and time, by giving it a label. By imprisoning it in a word. I see Ramana and Kt as giving us a key to dismantle our self-created jails. We label something, then we relate to the label, not the thing itself. Starting with ourselves. Why living in the head is futile is that we are beyond words, altho Blake could string a few together in a pleasing manner, thanks for the poem LilM.. Thoughtmill - grains of truth - very neat ;-) Seasons greetings, Tim
