Guest guest
You didn't mention which state you are from, but most states offer a religious exemption for vaccines, which would allow you to either not do them or do them at your own pace and choice. I know Dr. Goldberg does believe in vaccinating the children, but I have to admit being a bit afraid of the huge number of vaccines are kids are required to get all at once (something we have discussed on and off, although I feel he does take a sensible approach to vaccination - no hep B at birth, etc.). In our state it was just a general form which had to be notarized. We did not have to give any details about our religious backround. We just signed a statement that said vaccination interfered with our religious beliefs. At least it changed things so that we could take our time, discuss it with the doctor, and separate them or delay them if we felt it was necessary instead of rushing into all of them because the school required it. I often wonder if all these vaccines at once are tough on our kids systems, especially because they already have the immune issues. We just preferred the more cautious route. Sharon P.S. I haven't personally done this, but I've also heard of some parents getting their kids titers checked. In most cases, if they were vaccinated once already, they were already immune and did not need further vaccination. Just a thought.... Guest guest
Hi, Ask your Pediatrician for a titer which will show the level of vaccine presently in your son's system. This should be sufficient for the school's records. Guest guest
In our state, our pediatrician just had to write a note that the vaccination would be " detrimental to his health. Try the health department in your local area to see if they have a form for religious exemption from vaccination.

Guest guest
In CA its incredibly easy.....you simply sign the back of the vax form for a philosophical exemption . No notary, no MD notes, nothing. Just your signature. I did it for my son's chicken pox, tho he was vaxed with everything else.
