Guest guest
Dear , Thankyou so much for your reply. You wrote: 'The best way I know for " trapping the elusive " thought is to WRITE. The mind is so quick that sometimes writing is the only way to stop it. Worksheets are good and sometimes I just write stream of conscious-style.' Yes that's how I found the story 'The lights have gone out inside me.' Which I now realise is a lie. At the time I thought it was rather poetic and dramatic. Oops! It's funny isn't it, something that causes distress can be turned around within minutes and be seen for what it is. Just a feeling, or a thought, neither good nor bad. I also realised I'd gone into the self-pity mode when I read: 'You wrote: " At nine years old, when told there was no God... " Did you ever ask you? You could now.' I did ask me . 'Is there a God?' Yes! It's a belief I really like. I feel good that everything 'that is' is benevolent and loving and there is nothing terrible, and if it's called God that's fine by me. Thanks again for your help, Love, Viv
