I don't know if any of you have suggestions but I thought I would give

it a whirl. I have a friend that has really had a struggle and all the

doctors are stumped and all her tests keep coming back inconclusive and

I keep thinking maybe it's a thing but if it is I don't know where

she could get help. Here is what I know, she has digestive problems, she

oftens throws up or has diarrhea. She said there is no rhyme or reason

to it. She has eliminated all kinds of food and it doesn't help. She has

had several surgeries. They moved things around in her stomach,

intestinal area and none of this helped. Her iron count is very low,

they said it is a miracle she is alive with this low count. She was

taking iron orally but this was'nt getting absorbed and now she is

getting injections. She hasn't got the test back to see if it is

increasing her iron levels but she said she does'nt feel any better and

is still throwing up. She did have her stomach stapled three years ago

to lose weight and they also did the first surgery to help her

digestion. (She had all these problems before the stomach stapling). She

said one of the reasons she gained so much weight is she can't eat

things that are difficult to digest, meat, vegetables..etc. After the

stomach stapling surgery she could only eat healthy foods and only small

amounts so she lost weight and felt great, no throwing up, no diarrhea.

But that lasted only one year. She said she has restless leg syndrome

too. She recently went to a specialist in San Francisco and they did a

battery of tests, all inconclusive. They really don't know what to do

with her. I feel so bad for her she is only 40, has three children who

need their mother. I hope I haven't commited a -list no no. My two

boys are doing great with Dr. G by the way. I couldn't be happier.

Anyway if any of you have suggestions for my friend I would be grateful.

Thanks, Jerri

If nids is suspected, she may want to see Dr. Galpin,

who has an office near Dr. Goldberg. He treats the

adult cases with nids/cfs, I believe. Barb

Strange intestinal symptoms that are difficult to diagnose, and low

iron,

can be due to celiac disease. Be sure your friend asks her doctors if

they

have checked for this. (It's common, and easily overlooked).

Just a note to let you know I forwarded all the suggestions to my

friend. She told me she has been tested for celiac, crohns, ...etc. They

are just giving her all kinds of injections now with not really knowing

what she has. It is quite a mystery. Jerri

I've always said that there are many, many women out there who are sick from their implants and don't know it. Doctors are saying, "It's not the implants, it's not the implants", and as a result, we've got women sick and the cause is literally right under their noses! But they've been deceived....oh, it's so sad. I hope you find her again. Maybe those business cards are something we need to push for in every community where we are! We need to leave them in bathrooms, restaurants, on corkboards and bulletin boards....please go to www.vistaprint.com and order some free business cards. I posted how mine would look in a recent post, (using the blue spider web) and the wording. Let me know if anyone needs that to be reposted. and probably couldn't even pronounce anyway.I told her that I also had Fibro and Chronic Fatigue, and we talked a bit about it, but neither one of us ever brought up the fact that we both had the same symptoms and both had saline implants. We didn't exchange phone numbers, but I sure wish I had-that way I could warn her that her problems were due to her implants more than likely, and that she should get them removed immedietely.Sorry to ramble about this....I just happenned to remember that encounter, months ago, and wishing I could somehow warn my old friend....*sighs*
