Guest guest
Hey It turns out that the doctors think I might have a slippage:( I have to have a barium swallow on Thursday to find out. I'm hoping that deflating the band and giving it a rest for a few weeks will do the trick cause I really don't want another op. Have u or anyone else had a slippage? If so how did they fix it? Carmen Carmen I have been stagnant too, but have found that keeping a food diary has helped me to focus on what I am eating and try and change what I am doing wrong. I am using the calorie king online diary, its free. And walking an hour in the morning and evening and then catching the train has helped me. I am doing lots of exercise and I dont weigh myself so I cant give you a figure, but the walking has helped me feel better mentally for sure. Cant say what it has done with the scales as yet!Hang in there, keep your chin up. Its like this wonderful band gives us lots of hope but somehow gets us to a point and then even with everything we think we are doing right, we still reach for the skinny cow caramel sundae once too often... Guest guest
I did have a slippage a few years ago and my doc took all my fill out for a couple of weeks to let the swelling go down and it did and I have had no trouble ever since and I am now 7 1/2 years down the track. But everyone is different and your doctor will be the one to advise you on what to do.
