Yes, we are all different. See how you go with that 3ml and then if necessary - you can go for a top up in a few weeks time. But definately wait and see how it settles. Remember to be careful for the next 24 hours and go slow.

Hi IreneIt is best to go up slowly and get used to the new restrictions you will gradually get. Maybe you wont notice a difference with 3ml, maybe you will - everyone is that little bit different. There is nothing to stop you going back in a few weeks to get more fill if you feel you need it - its really only a time/ money/ convenience or desperation (for me) issue in most cases.

Irene... try to drink more water or low fat cordials between meals... and remember, this is just a tool. I often feel hungry, and I have to push past it these days to stop myself from constantly nibbling on rubbish. Get yourself some of those Goulburn Valley fruits from the supermarket, I buy the diced ones and nibble on those from time to time when I get the real hunger pangs.

You possibly can go more - well clearly you can... but yes, surgeons are pretty cautious - nice but frustrating for us that just want to get on with the job. Make the booking now, it might take a few weeks to get in, by then you will be more than ready for another fill. If you are not losing or gaining, then he will happily fill you up!

It is hard, and yes, unfortunately I hate that word diet with a passion. But, that is our lot. We are all head eaters/overeaters for whatever reason we are. We need to control it and the band does help. We however are still the ones that pick it up and stick it in our gobs... and therefore we have to take responsibility for that, not the band or the amount of fill we have.

I have constantly complained for two or so years at my lack of weight loss. I know that it is no ones fault but my own. I eat much smaller quantities, but I still won't give up the wine or the vino... so therefore, it is my own fault. I have taken things into my own hands a bit lately and started with a trainer at the gym which I really do hate with a passion as well, but I have no option, I have to do it if I want to get more off me. I want to have plastic surgery this time next year, so I have to keep at it and not stop. I also have to stop nibbling on crap foods. I have to give up a few things to get there, and I am doing it. No more cheezles, chips, brie or pate for me these days. I do still indulge in chocolate, but have cut that right back as well. I also think s should be outlawed... god I love that stuff.

Sorry - blabbing here. But the moral to this story is, that we are the only ones that can do this, with or without the band. The band is a huge helper, and the best I have ever had... but ultimately, it is me that puts crap in my mouth, therefore, I am to blame if the weight doesn't go away.

And on that note... I am off to buy s to take to the snow tomorrow... far out!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Irene,

A glass of diet softdrink isn't necessarily the best way to go. I

understand that the gas in the drink can expand your pouch, making

more room for food. You really should try to stick to non-gassy

drinks.

Cheers,

Kate
