Guest guest
Well, I'm flexible, so either the Meyerland or Uptown Park locations would be good for me. I actually haven't been to Meyerland yet, so I'm curious as to what's there (is there a Vitamin Shoppe? ). It doesn't appear to be that far from the Uptown Park location, which is why I had tentatively suggested the Town & Country location as another possibility (I thought it might be more convenient for those who live further west, i.e. Katy area). I can create a poll that offers the Meyerland and Town & Country locations as choices, too. The other good thing about the Meyerland Plaza location is that it's close to the jct of 610 & 59, making it easy to access from SW Houston and Sugar Land. The reason I'm favoring Café Express is that they seem to have a lot of roasted/grilled items on their menu (you can download & print the .pdf file). They seem also to have a good selection of chicken and fish entrées, if memory serves from skimming the menu.OK, that settles it. I'm going to create a poll now. There are so many great restaurants in Houston that we could discuss all the choices available to us from now 'til kingdom come and never actually get round to scheduling a meeting. ~Chelle>> > Chelle,> > Uptown Park would definitely be more convenient for NW'sters. Guest guest
Chelle, Here's a Meyerland Plaza shopping directory: http://www.meyerlandplaza.com/meyerlandplaza/shopping.html No Vitamin Shoppe that I'm aware of. There is a strip center across Beechnut from the main center. Carol > >> >> > Chelle,> >> > Uptown Park would definitely be more convenient for NW'sters. Guest guest
I think Meyerland Park would be more central. I drive down that way about once a week to visit my grandkids. --- " K. Guest guest
La Madeline's is also there, but might be more pricey. It would not be as noisy. -Ruth --- carol77096 wrote: > > Chelle, > > Here's a Meyerland Plaza shopping directory: > > http://www.meyerlandplaza.com/meyerlandplaza/shopping.html > <http://www.meyerlandplaza.com/meyerlandplaza/shopping.html> > > No Vitamin Shoppe that I'm aware of. Guest guest
I agree, Ruth, and I just noticed that we have 4 votes so far for Meyerland and 0 for Town & Country. So that tells me something. >> I think Meyerland Park would be more central. Guest guest
Oh, I can definitely relate to that! >> > Fine for me, the only thing on my schedule is 'getting well'.> > Carol

Guest guest
That's OK. There is a Vitamin Shoppe in the Copperfield area near me -- at Hwy 6 N and FM 529. There's a GNC at Meyerland; but I favor Vitamin Shoppe because I'm already a member of their Healthy Rewards Club (free membership), so every purchase I make (at a store or online) earns points towards savings certificates. >> > Chelle,> > Here's a Meyerland Plaza shopping directory:> > http://www.meyerlandplaza.com/meyerlandplaza/shopping.html> <http://www.meyerlandplaza.com/meyerlandplaza/shopping.html>> > No Vitamin Shoppe that I'm aware of. Guest guest
Sounds good with me. Lynn > > I think either Saturday or Sunday would work best, since most members > work during the week. Guest guest
I've been to that Vitamin Shoppe, my brother used to live up there. LOVE that area, but I work here in Clear Lake--and now we have one too! There, is, however, a Vitamin Shopped on Westheimer, not far from the Galleria, I've been there once. Love Meyerland, too. Used to live there. May I respectfully suggest sending out a note of some kind? You can do this from Yahoo Calendar and share it with everyone, or go to www.evite.com and do it that way. Let me know when and where, I'd be glad to meet y'all. Amy > > That's OK. [] There is a Vitamin Shoppe in the Copperfield area near > me -- at Hwy 6 N and FM 529. Guest guest
Chelle, Don't plan around me, but that is my son's birthday. Then the week of 13th-20th. We are moving our church into the new building. So all of the staff is all hands on deck, even us part-time staff members. Maybe I can make one next month! Guest guest
I believe this is good for me, as long as I am invited, being so new... Guest guest
Of course you're invited, Marti! I'm new, and I'm the one setting it all up! (how did that happen? ) This will be my first meeting with Houston-area members...but it won't be my last, if I have anything to say about it! This time we'll be meeting at Café Express in Meyerland, but next time we'll probably meet somewhere else. What do ya'll think -- should we meet monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually? I don't know if I want to risk abusing my polling privileges by creating yet another poll. I'm kinda leaning towards quarterly or semi-annually, myself. I think monthly might be too often but annually might not be often enough.~Chelle>> I believe this is good for me, as long as I am invited, being so new... > Marti
