Guest guest
I am surprised to see your doc gave your son an Rx for Valtrex. Hopefully, what you will see is a " die-off " period (up to 3 weeks) of a virus, whereby your son will act sickly or irritable or more autistic. And usually after that is over he is feeling better and acts more responsive or brighter than he usually does. Did your doctor do any blood work? And how long did he say he would be on Valtrex? (My son has been on it for 20 months.) > Hi, > I am new to this group. Guest guest
We haven't done any blood work in a while but recently did a stool test and are supposed to go back at the end of the month for blood work. He just said we would see if we saw any significant results and then discuss whether to continue. Why are you surprised that the doctor gave my son Valtrex? His age? So far none of any of the bio- medical treatments we have tried have made much difference. Hopefully this is different. Have you had good results with your son on Valtrex? > > Hi, > > I am new to this group. Guest guest
We have had great results with Valtrex. I say that I am surprised that your doc gave valtrex to your son because so many are looking for a doctor who will follow some of the treatments of the protocol, and your doctor is one who decided to try an antiviral. I hope it helps your son get better! (My son started on Valtrex at age 3 also.) > > > Hi, > > > I am new to this group.
