Guest guest
Hi all, My son has been sick for a week now. He started with a stomach virus, then tonsillitis (strept negative),cold and now a bad cough. He has had a fever off and on all week. The ped. started him on an antibiotic yesterday because of the fever, swollen glands, red throat and junky cough. is on Valtrex, and I'm wondering if there's anything else we should be doing from a " " perspective? This is the first time in his life that he's had a cough (weird because he's five yrs. old). What meds. does Dr. G use to treat a cold and cough? Thanks in advance,
Guest guest
, We have had a very similar illness in the house starting with a sore throat then a good old head cold and then cough. my son has had it as well, and we are basically giving Advil for headache that he complains of. i had an appointment with the ped last Friday, but he woke feeling better so I canceled. We also gave him an extra dose of his nightime antihistamine/decongestant on Sat afternoon and this seemed to help as well. Best of luck --- In , " LINDA ANAGNOSTAKOS " <lsa5885@m...> wrote: > Hi all, > > My son has been sick for a week now. Guest guest
, Thanks! was very short tempered yesterday and today in preschool ( this is so unusual for him), I think that he must have a headache also. He just complaines of being sick but isn't really specifying what hurts him. I always worry about regression during an illness, hopefully he'll wake up tomorrow feeling better! Thanks again and I'm glad to hear that your family is feeling better now.
