Guest guest
Well, I'm glad to say that tomorrow starts week 5 for me. Here is where I'm at. Sarting weight: 226.5 Week 4 weight: 218.5 Neck start: 15.5 Week 4: 15 Waist (over the belly button) Start: 44 Week 4: 42.5 Thighs start: 22.5 Week 4: 21.5 hips start: 39.8 Week 4: 38 arms Start: 14 Week 4: 14 I'm kinda bummed about the scale weight. When I have dieted before I had more of a dramatic weight loss but I am weight training more intense than I ever had so I must be putting on muscle weight. I have pictures but I think I'm going to wait until week 8 to post. I don't want to scare anyone. haha Next week I'm gonna get my body fat measured. I didn't get it measured until the saturday of week one. We'll see what they say. It's good to see results with the tape measure.
Guest guest
I too am a recovering scale addict... if my weight doesn't move, I panic and think that I've done something wrong. I guess I've been brainwashed by that mode of thinking that states " THIS is the weight you should be " . As I have learned from many people on this list, scale weight is not an accurate indicator of one's fitness, because the scale does not take into account lean muscle mass versus fat. I try real hard to stay off of the scale, but some times I do slip and get on. For this challenge, I'm going to weight myself once when I start, and once when I am done. If the scale moves, fine... if not, I won't be discouraged because my measurements should tell the true story. - Wayne Re: Week 4 Measurements > Hi , > > I agree with Leigh here a 100%.
