Guest guest
Jo, At a couple of meetings that I was at he said that because we tend to be anemic that he would suggest that we do not donate our blood, as we tend to become anemic very easily and it is hard to get it back up once it gets low. So his recommendation was not to donate. That was why I kidded even then about he won't let us give, but they just take it from us. And as often as some of us have to have blood tests and as much as they take, no wonder we are anemic. I wanted to be at the meeting tomorrow night, and had planned on being, but again the forces that be seem to interfer. I have to be at the VA hospital with my brother. Perhaps some of you who will be there could ask him again about this. The last time I heard was about a year ago. You know how things change. Please could someone report on the meeting. I am sure that I am not the only one that loves to hear what goes on. Pearl
Guest guest
Pearl, Thanks for posting that. I have been saying the same thing for years, but I am not an official source of advice. Guest guest
> How about meeting at s for a shrimp cocktail before the meeting Jo? ========================== Ok, Pearl, Marta, Pat?? and whoever else can make it (the more the merrier!)...we have a date for 's...now we need an approx. time. The earliest I can leave Bako would be 3:15ish (If I take my grandkids to mommy instead of waiting for mommy to come get them). So I could make it to 's around 4ish. How does that sound? Marta what time are you off work? Hugs Jo Marta...are you getting excited to see your beautiful blond granddaughter? Is she getting to stay for a month? Guest guest
I see how I rate on the scale. Actually, no starkers until about May for me as I need warm weather. But today is really warm but the wind is cold. Go figure. And at 10 p.m. you'd have been most welcome although I'd probably have been sound asleep in my wee bed. _____ From: DS_Friends_Keshishian [mailto:DS_Friends_Keshishian ] On Behalf Of and Jerry Lamb Sent: Friday, February 23, 2007 3:38 PM To: DS_Friends_Keshishian ; SassyNpink@... Even went through Paso Robles but duidn't have Jim's address or phone number, so we couldn't stop and bug him at 10PM. ;-)) However, I want a piece of that CAT scan action. We have six here in Sacranemto and one is usually available to do the work. (Two are " helping " me type this message.) Guest guest
Hi Jo, Yup, I had two places that opened up. One where the incision comes to an upside " T " , and the other along the right side of my incision. It is healing, just very slowly. Hopefully they will be closed by the time my six weeks is up for wearing this binder (in two weeks). Anyway, this surgery was so easy for me compared to the DS. I was walking Frisco a week later, and felt great. Thank God for pain pills! Juls- NM ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
