Guest guest
Hi to all the Grandparents from OZ We have had Torin in hospital twice this week. First in and out for Botox again. Then yesterday for his Cochlear Implant again. I did not know that the magnet in his head could move. it took the surgeon over an hour to reposition it. So rare an occurance that there was not even a Medicare number for it. We watch our babies go through things time and again. We help the parents and I for one feel like a third wheel sometimes. i sit and get food or watch and play with the little one to give my daughter time to go to the toilet. I know we do a valuable job but I so wish I could do more for my little darling. For all those who are helping like I am all my best wishes. Grandma Carol, Torin 4 PMG. Deaf, Hemi, and other stuff but no seisures, and my wonderful little redhead.
Guest guest
Grandma Carol...... you are Awesome!  What you are doing for your daughter....is so very very helpful.  Even though sometimes  you feel as if you are a '3rd wheel'...trust me...you are not. I miss my Mother dearly as we had to move from California, where she lives,  to Texas for my husband's job. She was able to accompany us on many hospital/doctor visits. Just being able to go to the restroom, grab a snack and most importantly....having someone close by that loves your child as much as you do....is so comforting.  I remember my Mom saying.....what can I do to help. I would always tells you..... " just being here, is helping me so much " !     Sweet Torin....was born into a lovely family.
