Our son had Gelastic seizures and would laugh uncontrolably

It was funny for a while then a new med helped stop them

Laughing seizures

I am so sorry, but I don't remember who emailed about their child's laughing for

no reason. My son does the same once in a while. Sometimes he will also squeal

with happiness when he has a twitch. I mentioned it to the neuro and he said

they might be laughing seizures. I just wanted to put that out there for this

parent. Julissa

My son has these seizures too, most noticeable following a bigger /more

noticeable seizure.

Kym also had gelastic seizures but would not stop laughing. It would go on for

hours on end. She was eventually hospitlalized and had her meds changed. It

was no fun at all and very distressing for her and us.
