I prefer the pearls which do not require refrigeration (the worry that you didn't keep them in long enough or whatever and they died goes away with these) and what they call the soil organisms which do not have to be refrigerated and many people prefer these anyway. I forget at the moment the primary brand; someone else will remember it, I am sure. They are large dark tablets or loose powder.

Teri

OK, I've made myself crazy with it, as only I can. Too much research, no conclusions. What Brand? Plain or with additives? FOS? (Supposed to be food for the little buggers) Refridgerated? Or not? One resource said not to buy it if it requires refridgeration. Enteric? Another source says they won't survive digestion... You see...?

Suggestions, please??

Okay, I am not trying that one. I believe you that it

works, but every gal has her limits.

It's actually painless but I understand. It's like a friend I know has an awful time with poison ivy. Well, one of the more effective treatments is urine which she applies to the affected area and then uses a blow drier on it. She says nothing is perfect but it is the best treatment she has found. But.....

I would just be afraid it would, er, travel. It's not

the garlic or the cervix area.

I have a (possibly irrational) fear that I would end

up in the emergency room trying to explain why I have

garlic in my womb.

Well. You could explain how fortunate you are to always be able to have kitchen essentials handy and on your person. Half the human race is not so well accoutered.

My doctor put me on pure unfiltered vinegar (Bragg's Apple Cider vinegar) to help address my yeast problems and also upset stomach issues...She said my PH level was unbalanced and that the vinegar addresses that problem. Said my bodywas too acidic and thereby allowing infections to start easily...she wanted me to also take something called Oregobiotics - using oregano as the main ingredient...I priced it and it was too expensive for me so I justasked for some anti-biotics...she also had me cut out things like milk, dairy products, wine, anything yeasty for a while and it has helped a lot!My entire family swears by the Bragg's vinegar now...it has helped with a variety of issues for us..cheers, Tee¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤¤ø,¸¸,ø¤¤ Don't Take Life Seriously. Thanks, Courtenay,

I will read it right away. I have been taking acidophilus, not regularly, it's in the fridge, easily forgettable, until about a week ago. It does seem to help with the 'major digestive symptoms'. I'm now including it regularly, but feel I need more.

Yes, I'm interested to hear what others think about this.

I really like the Jordan Rubin product line, Garden of Life, Primal Defense. I think the idea of FOS sounds great. I found that I was not taking it because it was so large and didn't settle with my tummy well.

I went back to a product that is in the refrigerator that has multiple strains of acidophilus. The drawback is remembering to take it since it is in the fridge. I think the pearls that do not have to go in the fridge are great but I think they were more expensive. If cost is not a factor I would take the pearls.

I buy most of my supplements at vitacost.com. The savings is substantial!

I used to buy Multidophilis from Solaray. This last time I just ordered the house brand from Vitacost due to the cost factor. The house brand is "NSI".
