Guest guest
Aylwin, I wish I could be up there to help you unpack. You are such an inspiration to me and a positive person. I'm a great organizer and really motivated when it is for someone else. I recently joined www.flylady.net. Her philosopy is you can do anything 15 min. at a time. it's what keeps me going sometimes. Just a note to everyone: ALL OF YOU ARE GREAT INSPIRATIONS TO ME! You all keep me going. I don't know what I'd do without your support. One more thing, I just found an email from my brother wish me a happy birthday! That's all he said, but it meant the world to me. God is so good! Guest guest
Darleana, I'm sorry that I missed your birthday. I get emailed only a few threads and did not realise it was your birthday until everyone gave their birthday wishes...by then I felt mine would be clearly too late! Happy Belated Birthday! I can't say that I dont like birthdays, in fact it was the one and only day growing up where it was MY DAY...ALL DAY! No work, wishes met..things like that. But as I've grown older and my day has been forgotten or limited to a verbal happy birthday, I realised it's just not that important anymore. *lies to self to feel better* My birthday was July 14th and I turned the big 50. I was happy to know for one year at least, I will remember how old I am! I have not given much thought to what my age is unless asked and I just look tward my husband. As the years go by now, I miss all the holidays (used to celebrate each and every one!) Sleeping through Xmas a few years has even erased any future celebrations of xmas and in many ways that is so sad. My best hope is to be well enough to decorate my cozy home to give those driving by a smile but even that has been weaned. I had a good day yesterday and for the first time in YEARS I decided to surprise my DH with a huge homemade Pot Pie. It was delish with buttery crust and all and he was very happy. Today my right hand is swollen and hard to even move fingers, I assume from rolling out the doe with my marble roller. *havent' unpacked my rubber roller yet* I've decided to just be thankful for the good things if only to get outdoors and see the colorful faces of my pretty flowers smiling back at me and remind myself that it could always be worse! I'm sorry your Birthday was shy of what you would have liked but unfortunately, we cannot control what others do or don't do. I do hope you enjoyed the warm wishes here and know that you are part of our family here that understands you, will be honest to you and loves you unconditionally. God Bless! > > Aylwin, > > I wish I could be up there to help you unpack. You are such an inspiration to me and a positive person. Guest guest
Hi Darlena, thanks honey! I wish you were here too! LOVE that idea, anything in 15 minutes…as a single parent with ME I always used to cook dinner (nutritious ones too) that way! No meal that takes longer than 15 minutes prep. Still do. Glad you had one nice thing on your B-day dear. Sometimes that makes all the difference. You TC now, Aylwin xox
Guest guest
Hi Aylwin, What are these 15 minute recipes? I could use those for sure. Sandrea
Guest guest
Thanks Bel, well I am determined NOT to be in boxes for long…it’s a tiny place (under 500 sq. ft.), so, needs to be organized like a ship’s cabin! It’s not like a whole house, I’ve lived small for years. I actually paid a young gal to do most of the packing…I would not be alive to tell the tale if I didn’t, this time! Melatonin did help me for awhile and maybe it will get you through this little bit. Remind me where in Canada? Anyway good luck with it all, get help if you can, and a big hug & TC, Aylwin xox _____ From: CFAlliance [mailto:CFAlliance ] On Behalf Of Bel Sent: Monday, August 20, 2007 5:50 PM To: CFAlliance Subject: Re: Aylwin and move Aylwin, I'll probably still be in boxes for months after I move. Almost 2 years after moving here I still have stuff in boxes. At least there are a couple of boxes that I don't have to pack for my move to Canada LOL. Guest guest
Thanks Darlena! All is well and getting a little less chaotic by the day. I work, lie down etc. Sorry the Money Monkey is on your backs.it is one of the biggest stresses and can lead to fighting.drinking. which is a shame, it makes everything harder really. I hope things turn around soon and he gets a proper job to support you in school. Good idea to just book out to the bedroom when you've had enough. Please take extra care, Aylwin xox _____ From: CFAlliance [mailto:CFAlliance ] On Behalf Of Darlena Gordon Sent: Monday, August 20, 2007 6:14 PM To: CFAlliance Subject: Re: Aylwin and move Congrats on new home! Guest guest
I tried melatonin at a psychiatrist’s advice long ago. He told me to take 3 mg per night. Well, I couldn’t even get up the next morning I was so drugged. So, I didn’t take it anymore. Much later I had a colleague who took melatonin and she told me she started with ½ of 1 mg and went to 1mg and that worked for her. So, start lower than you think and work up. Guest guest
I am so sorry Darlena. Money is a huge stressor I think for pretty much every body. I feel for your husband on the issue being with meds because what meds we are on should not be in the way of our getting employment. I think he may need to have a lawyer check into what the issue is as it is discrimination not to hire someone based on something like this. However, in the meantime, your husband does not need to figure out what he wants to do when he grows up. He can get a job now and decide after he is employed. Nothing says whatever he starts now has to be forever. If something better comes along he can take that. In the meantime, income will be coming in. I hope you are able to find something you can manage as well. Sandrea
