Maybe it is no more than " this! " A sage is a sage until he (she)

knows he (she) is a sage. In that knowing is the birthing of the

self which would be enlightened. But therein lies the contradiction

(assuming that one accepts the definition that enlightenment is the

ending of the one who would be enlightened). :-)))) It is the same

as for compassion: compassion exists until one knows one is being

compassionate.
