#17 Awareness of You

Recognize that the one in front of you is you. Beyond all

appearances and personalities is the essence of goodness, which is

you. Remembering presence in all forms will bring you immeditately

into the present moment, in awe of the fullness therein. The person

before you will become an opportunity to konw yourself. The heart

overflows with love and gratitude, humbly saying, " Oh yes, this

person or situation is here for me to learn about who I am. "

Dear Mona,

Thank you so much for posting these everyday. Wonderful!

Yes, i so see how the people in my life are opportunities for me to know myself.

And

every so often i have the good fortune of seeing that even the people that bug

the

hell out of me and whom i judge the most harshly are here to teach me about who

i

am. There's a great quote somewhere by someone about how my greatest teachers

are my enemies not my friends. katie says something like that too.

When i see the people i have difficulty with as parts of me it opens up a little

softness

in me toward them and myself. I have one teacher i find to be so rigid and

uptight --

she is in my life not to teach me what she is lecturing about but to teach me

about

loving myself rigidity and all... Maybe my " softening " is the " heart overflowing

with

love and gratitude " and then somehow i don't feel as rigid.

Speaking of overflowing hearts, where is that Elena-me? :) I send her love from

my

rigid-soft little and big heart :)

Love,

Heidi
