take it?? waddya ya think ,I live in a place where there is service?? I have had three computer guys in three years. The first one had a nervous breakdown and no it was not my faultThe second one was doing it as a second job and decided he would rather see his children

The third disapperead after many yrs in business- I use them, and, poof -- they leave town ,with $128.00 of my money when my printer did not work I called HP and of course I had to talk to Bombay about the cartridges that were stuck in there The advice from Bombay was Pull, Pull ! I could not pull those cartridges out and took the whole thing back to staples 60miles away.

DOn't start with me about taking things places, BAllester.:)I was at my office last saturday night for some reason and at 10:10 pm on the way home I could not get a milk shake becasue the town was closed. The hardware stores closes at noon tomorrow.

etc.:)

It won't be covered under warranty if there is food stuck under the keys!

Don't eat while using the laptop.

Keyboards are one of the dirtiest pieces of office equipment there are.

Your loo seat probably has a lower bacterial count.

If you have a permanent portacath, you can give yourself some sterile

nutrition ... keeps the keyboard clean.

What? You never read Ulysses by Joyce??

" The word appears to originate no earlier than Joyce's usage in

Ulysses in 1922 -- " O yes, mon loup. How much cost? Waterloo. water

closet. " -- perhaps Joyce came up with it. Or it could be " a British

mispronunciation of the French le lieu, " the place " , a euphemism. "

Maybe loo is short for bordalou, " a portable commode carried by

eighteenth century ladies in their muffs " (!!). Quinion also notes

that " a rather more plausible [theory] has it that it comes from the

French lieux d'aisances, literally 'places of ease' (the French term

is usually plural), once also an English euphemism, which could have

been picked up by British servicemen in World War One " but that

there's no real conclusive evidence to support any of these theories

over the others. "

Maybe at next year's IMP camp we can have Joanne show us how to put our own Portacaths in. Ourselves I mean. Maybe that would be a Joanne/Pam Wible joint session.

I can't seem to find your attachment. I live near Baltimore and would love to

hear your talk, and probably the rest of the conference. Where is it, when, and

how do I sign up?
