Pam, Here's the definition from: <http://www.spine-health.com/topics/cd/d_sciatica/sc01.html> Sciatica-pain along the large sciatic nerve that runs from the lower back down through the buttocks and along the back of each leg - is a relatively common form of back pain. Sciatica is usually caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve from a herniated disc (also referred to as a bulging disc, ruptured disc or pinched nerve). The problem is often diagnosed as a " radiculopathy " , meaning that a disc has protruded from its normal position in the vertebral column and is putting pressure on the radicular nerve (nerve root). Guest guest
Hi Nic Happy New Year to all on the board. I am in a similar position in that I mucked about a bit too much and didn’t use the band tool well enough and this year is a new start and I am putting myself back on track, having less liquid calories and getting moving more. Having said that, I twisted my ankle at the cricket on Saturday so my moving is hobbling at the moment, so the exercise might have to wait for a day or two. After struggling not being able to keep much down at all for most of last year, I had .5ml out before Christmas and I have to say I have enjoyed the break and being able to eat meat for the first time 9 months. I have put on about 4kgs with far too much Christmas cheer and alcohol, so now is the time to go back and get a fill and get it all together. I didn’t go through all this pain to sabotage the journey! I am going overseas in May and my aim is to lose a whole lot more before then so that I can be as fit and healthy as I can and also to make the 24 hour flight as comfortable as possible!!! Have a good Monday everyone Cheers Anne _,___

Guest guest
Sounds like a plan to me, Nic! I had a 3 week break in Tassie and with all the moving around, the cooler climate and having full days without too much time to sit and eat inappropriate foods, I lost weight! Cant tell you how much but my clothes were telling me. My son lost 4kg - he weighed himself on the penguin scale at the Antarctic research place in Hobart! Whatever works, I suppose Anyway, it made me realise that I need to keep busy, coming back to my house made me realise just how much I have neglected it because of my studies and probably stress/depression stuff and so I have been cleaning, sorting etc since I have been back and it feels gooooooooood! Onwards and downwards to us both, hey?? Mon From: SydBand [mailto:SydBand ] On Behalf Of Sent: Monday, 5 January 2009 10:20 AMTo: SydBand Subject: Hi Everyone! I have been offline for a while... nearly two weeks without internet access, it has been crazy but you know what I havent missed it. Strange its honestly the first time in almost 9 years that I have had a break and not had the web - so I feel like I am having to relearn how to google almost I hope everyone has had a happy safe and healthy Christmas and New Year break. I was up in Byron Bay/ Ballina and a stop off in Port Macquarie. I feel so refreshed and ready to tackle the challenges of this year. Last year I mucked about a bit too much so I am putting myself on track with some things and in particular my relationships with food, men and mother.
