Sharon, like Sally your post brought back so many memories for me.

There where times when i couldn't even get my granda off the toilet and we'd

both end up in fits of laughter, he'd say 'that's another fine mess i've got us

into'!

There was even days when i'd feel my back 'pop' at the strain of lifting him,

how i wish he was still here to do it for.

The times when he was near death and i prayed for him to go and not to suffer

anymore on to swiftly change my mind and bargin with god to have him a bit

longer, then the suffering would continue and i'd pray again for the end but the

truth is that when the end did come, i didn't want to let him go and i even

tried to wake him up again by gently shaking his chest.

So i guess what i'm trying to say is cherish all your moments together, the

wanting the end to come and the suffering to end is natural; you love her and

don't want her to suffer because when she suffers so do you by having to witness

it.

Your doing a wonderful job.

My heart goes out to you .....

I am cherishing every good day i have with my mom. She is such a

sweety. Yesterday i helped her to the bathroom and she said, i hate

having you have to help me do this but have i told you you are the

best daughter and i don't know what i'd do without you? My reply,

Do you know your the best mom and one of the best friends i ever had?

She gave me a big smile and said, I love you. I told her i love you

too and bite my tongue to stop the tears( it really works too) But

typing this the tears aren't stopping. I can't believe i pray that

god will take her cuz i really can't imagine life without her but i

think your right about praying what you feel in your heart.

We know how much we love them and just want the best for them which

forsure is not to suffer. I hope god answers our prayers.

Take care,

Sharon
