Guest guest Posted September 4, 2006 Report Share Posted September 4, 2006 He was diving off Cairns (where I grew up) and was stung by a stingray. The barb went through his chest and into his heart. He died within the hour. He has an 8 year old daughter (Bindi) and 3 year old boy (Bob). Very, very sad day for Australia. In my view, he is the Australian of the decade. He puts millions of dollars back into rainforest preservation and animal habitat preservation. He does more than many people know. How crass can they get?! Steve Irwin was certainly one of a kind... and he will surely be missed around the world. Elle devastated Hey friends I am crushed..
