Guest guest
Hello all- heres what I ate today. This morning I had corn flakes. I should be sticking with eggs but oh well. For lunch and dinner, I had chinese food (Veggie chow mein, Kung poau chicken and chicken fried rice.) Got all my water in and for my treat, I had some chocolate. I think thats it. Didnt eat alot today. I painted a bit so thats my excercise........lol Vicki Roy Bagley wrote: Hey, I know that it is still wait loss. But for the first several months I was losing on average of 35# a month. So dropping to a pound a week was quite a shock for me. But Hey I am still only 11 months post op. So I guess that I will not complain about a little plateau. Roy<>< and Vicki Plough -
Guest guest
Jo, Is it easier to count all the calories and stuff? I hate keeping a food journal cause I can see how much I am eating lol. I am doing bible day camp with the kids so I ate less and exercised more but I need to make sure I drink more water. I think I had about 6 glasses with one diet coke. I should write down my food intake too. -- Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness. Proverbs 13:14 -------------- Original message -------------- Today was a better balance with around 1/3 of my calories falling into each group. And less overall calories than yesterday. I did manage to get in my water and take all my vitamins. 705 calories from Fat 38% 596 calories from carbs 32% 560 Calories from Protein 30% (140 grams) 1887 total calories Todays greatest accomplishment...I ate around 1000 calories less than yesterday, but ate just as much in volume of food. I just made better choices. Tuna, turkey, lots of veggies, South beach frozen meal, cantalope, cherries...I ate 4 full MEALS and 3 snacks today. Shirley....where are your reports...how are you doing on meeting the goals you set for yourself?
Guest guest
> Shirley....where are your reports...how are you doing on meeting the > goals you set for yourself? =========================================== Good for you, Jo!!!! My report: not as good as I want to be. WATER: about 8 oz. OTHER LIQUIDS: 24 oz I'll really try harder tomorrow. Just a note, I live in extreme Northern Coastal California. The high here is about 70 degrees--so I don't FEEL the need to drink cold stuff... FOOD: Pretty good. HABIT: (worked all day with my butt in a chair) Exercise consisted of sosome garden work. Guest guest
> Jo, > > Is it easier to count all the calories and stuff? I hate keeping a food journal cause I can see how much I am eating lol. =============================== I hate to keep journals, count calories, measure...all that crap, I can guarantee doing it won't last for long. But...doing it for a couple weeks makes me AWARE, helps me lean towards better choices...gets me on track. Right now I'm using www.fitday.com to track what I eat. When available I take the info off the food labels, when not available I use their list of foods. Fitday creates a report that gives me the totals and percentages. It also has a nutrition section that show how much I'm getting in vitamins and minerals. I think that's also interesting. It shows me if I'm eating a good balanced diet and where taking supplements really pays off. It is time consuming to track everything you eat, but used as an occasional tool it helps to keep your eating " mindful " . Jo

Come on Shirley...you wanted this...you ASKED for this...now YOU need to PARTICIPATE! One 8 oz glass of water wasn't very much effort. This is only week one of the plan...first step...I wanna see some enthusiasm. (oh, did anyone mention that I'm not afraid to kick some butt...but only when I like ya!) > > FOOD: Pretty good. ***Excellent! But when I started putting in everything I ate, I kept remembering other things I ate, and then after all was said and done, it amazed me. I couldnt believe how much I eat without even meaning to...I eat mindlessly and on purpose. It is like eating twice.....It amazes me what goes in my mouth without me even thinking about it. I am hoping that this will make me think twice and only eat once! lol. Sharon in Onyx who is going to eat the ice cream, but not drink the beer she listed...
