Guest guest
With The Work, all suffering becomes optional. By doing The Work, one finds that the thoughts that are causing the suffering are not true. Once the thought is found to be not true, then we stop giving that thought our belief and we find that that thought no longer has any power to affect how we feel. By way of The Work, we do not " drop " a thought, but we cease to believe it is true. says that all suffering is a result of our thinking and that we can not just " drop a thought. " . I hope this helps? Guest guest
Dear Pinentus, Regarding " Suffering " , you wrote: " But in our World it is " real " for us and has a porpuse and meening to get us closer to the real world. " Evidently, you do not really know all that, as you said. I must disagree with your above statement. Since doing The Work, I must say that " Suffering " for me, is not real. It is the result of my mental story. It is a temporary illusion. Investigate the story that is running and you find that there is no suffering and no valid reason for suffering. Also, I do not believe that suffering has a " purpose " . Sufering does not get us closer to the real world. We are already in the real world, except for our story that we are not. Also, I do not believe that is in a different world than you are. The only difference between you and is that when has a story, she does the Inquiry and discovers that the story is not true and she comes home to herself. Many of us are getting clear like from using The Work. Clarity can only occur Now. If you are looking for a clarity that extends into a future, you are back into a story.
