glad to hear it's not a conspiracy.if you're close to branson, that may be the best place to meet.it's just ridiculous to get there from anywhere else.following your model, a regional approach may work best.are there any AC users here in the puget sound region who want to get together?we could do that and invite jon bertman, too.LLmodok68 wrote: LL: Sorry to hear that Branson's no good for you. I am one of the users who "organized" the meeting, and I can tell you how

Branson was chosen, if it makes you feel any better. Those of us who are active on the Amazing Charts User Board have been batting around the idea of getting together for a long time. One day a couple of months ago, Jim Blaine in Springfield, Missouri, decided to make it happen. This meeting was originally just going to be for some local AC users, and Branson was geographically centered between Jim in Springfield and me in sville, Arkansas. Jim did all the heavy lifting to arrange the thing and he thought it would be neat to invite Jon Bertman (Amazing Charts' president). To our surprise and delight, Jon accepted. Branson might not have been Jon's first choice, but basically he just agreed to come to the meeting that we had already set up for ourselves. Of course, the addition of Jon and his staff has transformed the event! Jon's agenda and our agenda kind of fused, like Jeff

Goldblum and the fly (in the movie of the same name), and reactions have been mixed. I have heard criticism from people who think the topics are too mundane, and those who think they are too complex. You are not the first one to ask "Why Branson?" There's no conspiracy; this is just how it turned out. At the end of the day, I think people who attend are going to have a good time. This is going to be a very laid-back affair in a very nice hotel, and people are going to have the chance to chat with Jon and his staff, and meet some folks they have only known from the internet. If you've ever talked to Jon, you know he is very laid-back and approachable. For anybody who can make it, it's $100 per attendee, which just defrays expenses. It's worth 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, which is a nice bonus. The hotel is palacial, and we're getting a great discount. There are a lot of other very nice

hotels nearby which are very affordable. Travel is indeed the only item likely to bite some people, and I do feel sorry about that. I look forward to meeting some of you in Branson! Cotner, M.D. sville, AR modok68 p.s. - By the way, if anybody here feels like they have something they would like to contribute to the meeting, or if you would like to participate in a round-table, I would love to hear from you. We are especially looking for another person who has converted from paper to paperless practice. We are also interested in people who have unique practice models (cash-only, etc) using Amazing Charts, or who are stretching the limits of Amazing Charts in interesting ways. p.p.s. - If there are any other complaints, contact Jim Blaine, M.D!!! jimblaineaol ;-)
