I guess some people disagree with this approach...but I certainly didnt mean that every single time your LO forgets something you jump up and say " thats because you have LBD! " If I were sick, I would want to know. If I had some symptom that affected my life constantly, I would want to know why. I know that my Dad, in his right mind, (and even now) would feel the same. No, they dont need to know ALL the scary details...but I think knowing SOMETHING helps them to accept help when they need it, especially if they were very independant people to begin with. I guess, like Josie said, for some it could backfire....but I feel comfortable with the decisions I have made. My Dad was getting WAY too frustrated with " not knowing " what was going on.
