Guest guest
Your prayers have paid off big time for Lilyen and Harry. Harry's eye infection has cleared up and it looks like he won't lose his vision. Lilyen's is even a more dramatic " miracle " as her vascular surgeon states it. She was sent to him because her MRA said her carotid artery was 70% blocked. He checked her again with an ultrasound, and her artery was clear as a bell. No blockage whatsoever. He said he had never seen such a huge discrepancy in the tests and thought this surely was a miracle. She has an appointment on Monday with an orthopedic surgeon for her shoulders. Will let you know more when I hear. She said to thank everyone from the bottom of her heart for the prayers. This is a " powerful group. " She has an appointment with Dr. K on August 6 so they WILL BE AT THE POOL PARTY. How cool is that? She is seeing Dr. K because she can't eat more than 8 ounces at a time, and her doctor feels the mesh might be pressing against her diaphragm hence the difficulty breathing. Wish I could come but we will be in Denver for two weeks starting July 31. Marla DS: 2-9-

Guest guest
Hi all...its me Lilyen...I figured if I wrote some bit when ever I can and put it in drafts till it's done, I can at least communicate a bit. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank all of you who put Harry and me in your prayer pockets,or just sent positive thoughts our way. They have helped a great deal... Harry's eye is almost back to seeing normal...now he can see dirt on his glasses...before he couldn't see out of that eye and one doctor was afraid he was going to need a corneal transplant....big time scary. He sees the specialist again this Friday and I am sure that the every wakening hour eye drops will change....the cell phones are sure handy to set alarms by the way...He will get a steroid shot in his spine on the 25 they will do it in the hospital as an out patient...Please hold him up once more in prayer that this time they put it in the right place...the last time the doctor didn't and it did NO good at all...It is kind of hard to see this sweet man so crippled up...I know all to well the pain he is having and I would do anything to help him to be free . After I was tossed out of my wheel chair...(it was a new electric on that Harry had removed the rear wheels that prevent it from tipping over and forgot to put them back on or tell me they weren't there) they rushed me to the hospital and started doing more scans on my head neck and shoulders they found such stuff...tests are nasty things...they tell you too much...lol...So now I get dizzy when I sit up fast or when I lay down.or try to reach up high to get something..the stuff they had me doing didn't help and now they want me to do some more stuff and sit up for 48 hours after that ...something about the crystals in my inner-ear having traveled where they weren't supposed to...So now I can prove I have rocks in my head...lol...sitting up for 48 hours is a good trick in the motor home ( it will have to wait till we move in our house)... Yep we still are in it ...our house is still not done...another long and frustrating story that I wont bore you'll with..However the end is in sight...perhaps the end of August.... Any way..They had me in seeing on vascular surgeon to open a artery that a MRA said was 70 % blocked ...they said I couldn't have any kind of surgery until that was done..They had me scheduled to go into the hospital the next day to have it rotor-rooted...After he was done testing me he said the MRA was 100% wrong and he had never seen that test that far off...Said " Lady this is some kind of a miracle " ..well the last of two surgeons had rather grim news..The first said I needed two total shoulder replacements..and told us that they are rather difficult to do as not that many shoulders wear out and they are way behind hip and knee replacements.in being perfected. The second one said yes they are rear, and you do need them both replaced but that he knew a few that did them and he felt that the people who I had seen that had NO use left in there arms from shoulder replacements had the old total replacement and now days they just cut off part of the bone replaced that and trimmed away all the bone cysts and spurs. Now the first doctor told me that it was no good to just removed the cysts and spurs as they grew back within three years ......So who do you believe?? Now they both want me to go through this very painful test that they find out where the most of my pain is from...My shoulders or my neck ....that has 7 blown discs. spurs galore..and arthritis the fibromaelgia and heaven only knows what else...but you know .....what I feel in my gut...is that everything is going to be ok...I trust my life's path to my Creator....I don't understand the why of pain or the nightmares we have had to endure these last few years....It would be nice to understand...how some ever .....life goes on and life is good!!!..and friends are precious. I am so grateful to be able to call you my friends. We are so looking forward to the pool party and seeing you'll .....I will be in town for the monthly meeting also. If anyone is going to be in the hospital during that time let me know and I will pedal myself over and say hello...Also what can I bring to the party and I will need directions...We will be staying at a R.V. park in Bakersfield I believe.and I would love to visit or chat with anyone in a air conditioned place...lol..I have a good ides how hot it can be.....and living in N.M. I know the value of air conditioning.....Hugs to all...Lilyen Re: Lilyen and Harry Update. > > > >
Guest guest
Lilyen, Thank you for taking the time to update us. I will send you directions to my house and I think there is a file on the site with the same there. You can come sit at my house and enjoy the airconditioning if you don't mind if I study! lol I mean, I don't study 24/7, but I am doing quite a bit of it. Hopefully when you are ready to return home, all will be complete. Of course, you are probably ready to return home now, right? Of course we will continue to hold Harry in our prayers. Marta who occasionally knocks her own rocks loose.
Guest guest
You need a referral to a top notch expert in the field of shoulder problems. Please ask Dr K's office for a referral. The choices you have been offered are too far apart for comparison. Wouldn't it be nice to have an angel on each shoulder until you're healed! Praying for your and Harrys return to the finest health. See you in Bako/Delano. Bobbe in Paso Robles. 5th grade thru college = 152 lb. 5/98 - retired at 285 lbs. - size 24/3X. 3/12/03 - DS 268 lb. size 22/24, down to 137 - 12/14. Today - 158 lbs. a bloated 14, but doing OK. Will settle for permanent 148.
