HI Harry

I haven't posted for quite a while but read the list regularly. My 22 year

old son was diagnosed with Stills in 2005 and was so sick for well over a year-

unable to work, constant pain, fever spikes- you all know the story. I thought

he would never get well again He was on high dose prednisone, NSAIDS,

methotrexate etc etc- a cocktail of drugs. About 7 months ago the Rheumy put

him on a Kineret trial and he has not looked back. He is now only taking ARAVA

and kineret and his life is almost back to normal (apart from hair loss from

the MTX and the daily injections) He has lost much of the mobility in both

wrists which limits him with some things but I just thank the researchers who

came up with Kineret. We don't know if he will go into remission- the doctor

is very cautious about taking him off the meds as he said a second flair is

usually worse than the first, so we are in his hands at the moment. Give it a

go if you have the opportunity- we have found it a

miracle so far (of course long term we will not know but it is better than

lying around in pain all day & we will deal with the future as it comes along)

Goo luck and may you get better soon

Vicki
