Hi,

I have had numbness then tingling in my Arms and Legs. It started getting bad

about the end of June, but I have had it on and off my entire life. I told my

doctors this, combined with high adolase and High Liver Enzymes blood tests, my

doctors felt I might have a muscle disease in addition to the Still's. The

Rhuemy did some muscle strength tests and ordered a EMG and muscle biopsy. The

EMG came out normal. I'm still waiting for the results of the Muscle Biopsy. I

don't know why I am having Numbness and tingling yet, but I'm sure my doctors

will find out.

Good Luck! I hope you find an answer too.

Hi Norma,

We have had some recent discussions on itching. Some take prescription

meds. For me I have found I can control some of it by changing

laundry detergent and using hypo-allogenic shampoos, lotions and make-

up.

Funny you mention ear itching. Do you mean inside the ear or out? I

do sometimes have itching inside my ear and it drives me insane. To

date, no cause and nothing to stop it.

You might want to search the messages for itching and see what comes

up.

Hello stilligans,

I was dx back in Nov. 05 and since Feb.. or march my blood work is normal. I am

on kineret when I don't have some type of infection going on and plaquenil and

antinflamitory called lodine. Even with the blood work be normal I still have a

great deal of pain in my hands, elbows, shoulders and my knees and my RD feels I

should not be in so much pain. I also still have fevers often, I get hot then

cold then hot again this goes on everyday. Whenever I do any type of physical

activity I start to sweat real bad and get exhausted easily. I have lesions in

my brain caused by still's and I get headaches frequently, my memory is shot and

I cannot concentrate very well. My question to the group is, does anybody

experience pain even though your blood work is ok.

thanks, Brett

, I was put on MTX and after a month or so I was experiencing severe head

aches and that is when we discovered the brain lesions. So she is hesitant to

put me back on it. Arava I have not tried. What type of drug is it?

Brett

Re: question

Brett,

Has he tried Methotrexate or Arava or is that not possible with the

lesions as well? I sure hope you find something to help soon. Do you

find anything that seems to help?

drugs, but because of the brain lesions I can't take enbrel or

remicade.

Hi Brett,

Yep my blood work appears normal yet I feel like crap. Pain in all joints,

headaches, fevers & chills at times. I don't see how our blood work can be ok &

we aren't. My RD took me off of MTX about 4 weeks ago so posbbily that is

playing a part in how I feel because it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get out of a

persons systom but even when I was on it I still had the pain & normal blood

work I just feel worse now. It will be interesting to see how many others have

this as well.

Arava is a DMARD like MTX and sometimes is used instead of MTX. I

don't know how different they are. I was having too bad of side

effects on MTX so I got put on Arava.

Those brain lesions are scary. How often do you have to have your

brain re-scanned to see if there are changes?

Hello Sharon!

Do you work at all? I think that the state(and federal)

usually " play " with our money if we make a little more;or less...I

don't work at all,and every January I get a " cost of living " raise

(ha -ha about 10 to 20 bucks. But it's something anyway.)

I think that you should fight it;BUT call first. It MAY be an honest

(yea...) mistake?

I never received my recertification packet for Food Stamps. So...They

closed my case in February! Their fault;not mine, but I suffer.

They did send me the packet after I called and whined at them at

how " good " I am(awww)at ALWAYS making out my recerts. and sending

them in right away. BUT;Even if they re-open my case(probably;it

sounded good);I won't get my March (or Feb. Food money.)

OF COURSE Rox will feed me(my partner);but those food stamps are the

HELP I give her by me buying some food for the house for us

BOTH..This is the ONLY way that I can pay her SOMETHING for all her

spending on ME. See? The SSI and SSD money goes for x-tra medicine

that I buy since I am useing the max allowed on my Medicare part D.

(That money is SUPPOSED to be my rent money!

See how crazy it all is?

Well;I wish you luck,I really really do!!!!!

Let us know,okay?

Sincerely(I mean that!);Bram.
