Guest guest
Marjorebony, Welcome to the support system. Others have written to say the same thing I will say. Keeping your husband at home is certainly possible with enough help. It is also a choice. I truly believe from my own experience, which is over now, that it depends on you and how much stress is involved for you. They just seems to progress in their confusion and physical problems. It is the caregiver who has more and more stress. It also depends on how long it continues. After three years and very little sleep, I did put Mom in a nh. It did not make things easier. Then I was there everyday anyway. And I became very angry when people did not take care of her as I would take care of her. So I am guessing you will take it one day at a time and make your decisions as you go. Glad you found us and hope you can find support here.
