Guest guest
So far, Increased focusing, tasking, impulsivity much lower, hyperactivity cut down w/o drowsiness. Better at school, sleeping through the night. It has just been 3 weeks, and my son seems to grow immune to the other meds he has taken since age 6. Though this new med is NOT a stimulant and his engine (thank you) has slowed substantially. I will keep you all informed. Guest guest
What was the med that seemed to cause the problem? Guest guest
On the subject of hyperactivity, has anyone out there tried the Interactive Metronome computer-based product? (www.interactivemetronome.com). I got to demo it a few years ago when it was still in beta-test mode and was very impressed. We are considering giving it a try this summer. Just wondering if anyone else has already done it... timary > > So far, > > Increased focusing, tasking, impulsivity much lower, > > hyperactivity cut down w/o drowsiness. Guest guest
We did metronome therapy with an o.t., for both boys. Both did well with it, met the goals, etc. However, I really never saw any benefit in either boys. There were none of the improvements which were supposed to happen. And it was very expensive, esp. when done with an o.t. Guest guest
My son , 14, diagnosed with Asperger and ADHD started Stratera about one month ago. We are seeing very positive results with focus, controling behavior. getting himself organized and taking an interest in his life and what he wants for himself. A very big change for the positive. dbtwp <timaryp@...> wrote: On the subject of hyperactivity, has anyone out there tried the Interactive Metronome computer-based product? Guest guest
Thanks for your input, . Did your son also have learning disabilities? If so, were they helped? Guest guest
WOW this is great news. My 15 year old daughter had just started Olanzapine......we are seeing some positive results in a matter of one week on this med, she is going on two weeks taking this med. her sensory problems has made some improvement-hope to see more, her concentration and brain organization has improved. She is not recalling or retaining information as yet from what she reads, but she did have her head stuck in a novel for one hour and read 5 chapters--that is a big plus, we are hoping that in 6 weeks, her recall and retaining information what she reads will kick in and she also mispreceives information spoken to her and what she reads, hoping that will correct too. If things don't continue uphill with my daughter on this med. i will keep strattera in mind. Thanks keep us updated. Is their anybody here that has tried their child on Olanzapine to compare notes. This is the first med. we ever tried on our daughter. n Re: Re: Anyone out there's child is using Strattera(to all) > <html><body> > > > <tt> > My son , 14, diagnosed with Asperger and ADHD started Stratera about > one month ago. Guest guest
Just his inability to stay focused and organized caused him to not be successful in school. Also, socially he struggles and is doing much better now in both of these areas. Barb Katsaros <barbkatsaros@...> wrote: Thanks for your input, . Did your son also have learning disabilities?
