Hi Kathy, I just have a little bit of experience with both of them. My rheumy

says they work basically the same with a little difference in the way Humira

attaches to the cells (sounds a little more agressive to me). I took Enbrel for

about 2 1/2 months and felt great while I was taking it, but then pred was

lowered and it quit working and I started getting injection site rashes (which I

didn't get at first). The shots sting, esp. in the leg, but there are enough

places in the belly to rotate them. I just started the Humira, so really can't

compare it very well. The shot stings again, I've had no injection site

reaction yet (oh yeah...today is shot day) and I've had no adverse reaction.

How's that for a lot of non-help. The every other week thing is nice I must

say!

Humria or Enbrel?

Hi there,

It's Kate from NE Pa (former Stills patient but now has RA). Even

though I read the posts daily I usually hang in the background and be

quiet :) However, I need your help in helping me decide whether I

should take Humria or Enbrel. For those of you on either of these

drugs, or have been in the past - would you mind giving me the pros

and cons of them? My Doc said they pretty much work the same and his

primary reason for choosing Humira is one only injects every 2 weeks

as opposed to twice a week with the Enbrel. Your opinions, suggests,

side effects comments are greatly appreciated! Thank You and all have

a great day/evening.

Kate from NE PA
