Memantine in Ontario

Hi my Ontario friends.

I spoke to my mom's doctor today and we discussed memantine coming out. He's

happy to have mom try it but he did inform me that it may take years before our

government cheese approve it and pay for it. So, it's coming out of our pockets

for a while yet. I'll have to discuss this with my dad and see if he's up to

coughing up the bucks for this one. I wish I had more money so that I could

just run out and pay for it myself.

Wow Jim. I was just reading this article last night - I'll be keeping my

eyes open for the results of the Canadian trial. I've been a member at

Ageless for a while now. They collect all this wonderful information about

whats happening out there for dementia (mostly AD). It makes me feel better

that there are lots of people working/coping on/with some of the same issues

we discuss here. Thanks though.
