Guest guest
I just want to thank each and every one of you for just being who you are and doing what you do. I can't tell you how your posts confirm and strengthen my resolve to get the Lewy Body charity up and running here in the UK. When I opened my mailbox this morning and read the posts to the group I simply cry!!! What do I find here? The best bunch of human beings on this planet! If ever anyone needed their faith in human nature restored they should stop by here. You folks just give and give ...... and I am so proud to know you. We've got and his website - bet he spent HOURS on it! We've got folks suggesting ideas for swallowing problems and volunteers who speak French! Is there any end to the talents here???? And we've got Abby bless her - doing everything in her power to handle the 'bastard' disease! Hey Abby - I hear you. Can't take your pain away but I can still feel it too. My dad was a card sharp and one Christmas we decided to play cards .... I was shocked and terrified when I realised that he hadn't a clue what to do any more! My dad used to end up on his hands and knees in the loo. He would dig at the floor with his hands in his frantic attempts to tunnel out and escape. Some days I thought my heart would be torn apart with the pain! And that conversation??? Abby - almost word for word copy of mine with my dad! He was humiliated and ashamed when he was 'with it'. Keep strong dear friends You're in so many prayers Cyber hugs to all Sally x
