Rash Question

Hello Stiil's Compadres,

I have developed what I think is the Still's rash. In the past my

symptoms tended to be more joint pain, with high fevers back at the

onset. So, my rash runs up and down both arms, more on the inside

than the out. It's always there, a light salmon color like the ones

on the web site... then some days it flares up bright red. Is this

how other peoples rashes behave? I see my rheumy tomorrow and will

bring it up with him. Just thought I would check with y'all :-)

Sam:

Mine was birght red and all over the body except on face, hands and feet. Do

not worry it is normal(if something in our disease can be called normal LOL).

Greetings

Yep,. sounds just like my stills rash. I can expect to see it every

afternoon... getting more intense as the evening wears on. I " sleep it off " with

just

an overall, diffuse pink showing in the morning that disappears... Then in

the afternoon, it starts all over again...

Kind Regards,

Pat

When my rash first appeared, it was on my arms. Like yours Light

salmon color and more on the inside of my arms. Got darker, but

never bright red. (the bright red is for my 'roid cheeks.)

Lately, have it on my upper chest, comes and goes for the most part.

Now, it seems to appear during the times of day when my fevers used

to happen, even though I have not had that symptom since last

summer.

Very strange, like an internal clock. Comes on about 5:30-6PM and

lasts till around 9PM. The large, run together area seems to get

darker in color (never bright red) peaks and then starts to fade untl

barely visible. Besides the big, almost butterfly shape area there

are scattered spots most less than 1CM in diameter.

Have pictures of the arms, but hard to see in chest pictures because

of all the hair. Maybe I should shave? Whatcha think? LOL

Sam,

My Still's rash is predominently on my chest and neck.It shows up when I get

a fever,or have a general flare in symptoms. How bright it is depends on how high

my fever is,and how dehydrated I am.I hope you find this usefull.Good luck at

the rheumy's tomorrow.

Sam,

It sounds like the dreaded Still's Rash " to me & I've had a few of them! I

always say my rash is behaving badly because it usually will cover most of my

body from the neck down. Good luck at the doctor!

Hello all...

I woke up with the rash all over me this morning. It is everywhere and seems

to be spreading. I have had the rash before, but never all over like this.

Also, pain in my legs & arms (esp. wrists), hands swollen and fingers. My doc's

not in till this afternoon, anyone know what can help me until then? Does

Benadryl help?

I am miserable!

Gail I hope you get to talk to the doctor soon.

AFter calling the doctor, I would try to clear your schedule in order to

rest. See what the symptoms do.

I would only go as far as prednisone if you are quite ill. I have suffered

several flares with no prednisone. The symptoms did go away for me.Of course

the doctor knows best.

I hope the doctor talks to you soon.

Try to rest..sometimes only a few symptoms pop up...hopefully

Let us know

Hugs

Liz

Gail,

I'm so sorry you have that terrible rash. I get it bad when I have a flare

for some reason. My doctor always puts me on prednisone & it does help even

though I hate it. He has me take pred. when I leave town even for a few days

just in case so if I have a flare I can start taking it. I also take hydroxzine

for the itching. I hope you can get ahold of your doctor soon so he can get you

on something that will help.

Take Care,

Chris
