Guest guest
Hi Dan, If our nada's accusations, expectations and attitudes weren't so absurd they'd be laughable. I couldn't help but chuckle a bit when I read that that your nada apparently wished you to be as (or more) perfect than JC! My nada has made equally outrageous accusations, but conveniently " forgets " when challenged. A few years ago my wife ran a daycare. One child was a neighbor's 4 year old daughter. One day nada claimed that because of my penchant for violence the parents feared that I was going to hurt their little girl. This bothered me so much that I approached the parents. Naturally they didn't know what I was talking about. A couple of years later when we were no longer caring for the girl, nada changed her story - now the parents were afraid that I was going to sexually molest the child. Now she denies ever saying it. These false allegations are meant to make us question our self-worth. They turn reality upside-down. Is this what some refer to as the " Alice in Wonderland " effect? The purpose is control, plain and simple. Best wishes, Doug > As an example of things she imagined and did not forget, she believes > I tried to kill my sister when I was 6 - I don't remember it, my > sister doesn't remember it, my mother didn't see it, she only heard > from a neighbor that I was jumping on my sister and interpreted that > to mean I was trying to kill her out of jealousy.
