Zoloft and hyperactivity

My daughter is on Zoloft, today starts her 3rd week on it, and we see some

nice changes. We are also seeing some behaviors we are worried about. She

is just more figety, more moody, more high maintenance in general. I have

to keep an eye on her constantly and tell her not to do things all the

time. She starts school in 2 weeks from today and I worry about her

beating up some kid on her first day of school. Every time I see her she

is finding boys to play shooting games with. She is just not herself. Is

there an adjustment period? Or do we need to change meds? We don't have a

consult with Dr Goldberg for 2 weeks and I'm not sure what to do.

My son was very hyper on zoloft, and he became an insomniac. We knew

after just 3 days he could not tolerate it. I would say give it

another week, and see. Use your updates to Dr G to communicate with

him....he does lots of med changes just through weekly updates....you

do not have to wait for your consult to relay your concerns to him.
