, thanks for the e-mail.

When my dad died i really don't remember feeling the depth of despair that i

seem to be feeling now but then when i sat and thought about it i dawned on me

that the nature of my dad's death probably had a lot to do with it.

My dad drowned himself in May 1995 and i think really to this day i've been

living with the shock of it because i know i've never really dealt with it, when

i feel it all starting up i tend to push it to the side and i've always managed

to do this, with my granda it's like i've been hit straight away and i don't

know how to cope with the feelings that i have.

I know i'll come through the other end but it's going to take time.

Thanks again.

.x

Re: Kath

Hi Ladies:

I don't have a lot of time now, things caught up with me!!!

I wanted to know if what is happening to me is that my oldest one finally

moved to college. Chicago, no less. Is it the death of my father?

I really feel disorganized!

Yes Atkins is the only diet that I wasn't hungry on and it worked for me

(while I was sticking with it)

Josie,

You are " disorganized " as your whole schedule is out of whack! We are

really creatures of habit and when we spend hours taking care of

children or LBD patients that use a lot of that time, time gets

structured in a certain way. When that goes away, {daughter and Dad} we

need to restructure our time or we feel " disorganized. " Then we have to

get familiar with the new schedule.

Hope things settle in for you.

Donna

  • 4 months later...

Thanks Kath!

It was nice to be back at school. Our whole household was up and

at'em at 6 am today and it was far from a " smooth " transition but, in

the end, it was nice getting back. As I told Sally, I hadn't

realized how much I missed teaching until I went back.

Hope you too had a good day today,

Abby
