Guest guest
: Well good luck and know this I join you in getting teeth pulled. On the 13th I well get 4 to 5 pulled and also a lot of cleaning. So much work that I will be put under for it and be there about 5 hours. Like you I have needed the work for a long time but in my case it has been a few years. Good thing is I finally get some choppers ad so may be I can eat real food and stop steeling my grandbaby's food LOL. I only have 4 teeth on the upper mouth one front and two molars on each side and one canine tooth but that is if. I know that I have had bad teeth my whole life but from the time I have gotten stills to now I have lost the most and broken or cracked almost all of them. Makes it hard to chew but I am looking so forward to being able to smile and have white teeth and a lot of them fact is I will have more the ever in my life now. As a baby I was sick and they think the meds wrecked the teeth that were coming in. then had braces so I could were dentures but they also damaged my teeth badly but then again some did not even have roots to begin with yet there the one I seamed to have kept the longest. This was at 11 years old well they thought I would have them by my 20's but here I am almost 50 and getting them. I do have to say it is very spendy but it is a gift that my mother is giving me. She makes me cry with the love she shows me. Here I am at an age I should help take care of mom and she is taking care of me as if I was still a child living at home but I have been blessed with her and glad she has always shown me how to love. So good luck and all to you no flaring from it as you like my self sound like this is a good thing and some thing to be at lest happy about. I know stills pain is in the running for worst pain in my life with tooth pain Hugs all the redneck Marty
Guest guest
My dear Marty and : I have a partial denture on my top teeth. I had 5 teeth left, one has just split in half a few weeks ago. To be honest the dentist gave me an option of either a root canal or pulling of the broken tooth. If we pull it I have to get a new partial, the cost of which is excessive since the one I have is only about 4 years old and the insurance company won't pay for it under 5 years. Either way the dentist, himself, won't do the work out of fear of triggering another flare. The last time he and his crew worked on my teeth it took 3 months before I was off meds again. So he wants to send me to a specialist that knows nothing of me or my situation. Fear of anyone " playing " in my mouth is exremely high, but at least you now know you're not alone in this. Take care and be well. Ellen > > >

Guest guest
So am I correct in understanding that having dental work done triggers flares? This is something I would never have connected. Guest guest
and every one other; My mom was telling me about her uncle who had RJ. He had some bad teeth and was really bad with the RJ. After he had his teeth taken out he was better and never fought it again. This is also one of the reasons she wants mine done so bad as her and I feel they are not helping my health Hugs all the redneck Marty
Guest guest
You see Marty; always listen to your mother. Moms know things, you can't always explain it but we know stuff! Take care and be well. Ellen >
Guest guest
Marty, Excellant! They put me almost to sleep too...and man that was the way to go! Never had it so easy at the dentist! I was just in the 'drifting off to sleep' state and it was done before I knew it. My thoughts and prayers will be with you this Wednesday! Be sure to get plenty of rest before and after! (You probably won't be able to help it after LOL) Take care! [Norton AntiSpam] RE: [Norton AntiSpam] RE: Re: getting 2 teeth pulled I go in on the 13th of June. I also know it is not a cure but like you o the infections .My mom has been there so many times in so many ways since I have gotten stills and my ex divorced me leaving me nothing. If it was not for her I could not get this done as I have no money or coverage for it. She is paying for it all but has let me know it comes out of my inheritance but I do not care. I am looking forward to chewing again and hope to eat corn on the cob or just and apple with out cutting it up. I will only have uppers as there going to rework my bottom teeth as there in okay shape and there the ones I have never had to much trouble with but some breakage and when left to long then look out LOL I will let you all know how I am doing when I wake up as I will be put to sleep for this as there scared of my stills and want it to be as easy as can be on me Hugs all Marty the redneck

Guest guest
Well, I spoke too soon! My reactions were just delayed. Yesterday afternoon I started aching really badly...then got the full blown fever last night. It only got up to 102.2 ..and didn't last as long as it usually does (maybe 8 hours this time)...but today I'm aching really bad! My fever is creeping up again (98.9 right now), so I'm a little worried that it may not be the Still's and it may be the infection from the teeth. Any ideas on how to tell the difference? I am taking 500MG of penicillan (sp?) 4 times a day. But on the other hand, I've had to discontinue my Still's medication except for 20MG of prednisone, because of the surgery. I'd love some input! in SA [Norton AntiSpam] Re: Re: getting 2 teeth pulled So am I correct in understanding that having dental work done triggers flares?
