Coyote,

I won't be very compasionate. You have got to move!!!!! It is the only

way out of depression. DO ANYTHING!!! Take a bath, walk up and down

the living room, wash the dishes. DO ANYTHING. Fold towels. You must

get your energy moving. Hard as it is to do, you will feel better.

Just talk yourself into moving and you will feel better fast. Not

wonderful for sure, but you must keep moving and DOING one thing at a

time.

Please write me back as soon as you get something done. Your choice and

I don't care how big or small. Unload the dishwasher. I will check

back.

We all would dig ourselves a hole and hide in it, but you know, as well as

we do, that that is not helpful to you.

Please come out of that hole or we will all be forced to make it bigger and

come right in beside you...

We are here for you Coyote. Just like you have been here for us.

Would someone who actually suffers from clinical depression please

stick up for me here and explain this? I dont know where the

assumption came from...that I dont " move " ....but I certainly didnt

say that! Every day is a blur for me. Lets just take yesterday as an

example of what pretty much every day is like for me. It took me

about an hour to get my housework done in the morning (dogs fed,

dishes done and put away, kitchen cleaned and decluttered, main

living areas decluttered, and main bathroom cleaned). Then off to my

Mom's for more basic cleaning, decluttering (I have one day a week

that I deep clean, disinfect, vaccuum and dust everything). I

shovelled their snow, took Endear for a walk, then got her in the

car to go to the vet. After that, I picked up their mail at the

post office, grabbed a few groceries they needed and filled up their

car. Went back to their house, put away the groceries, replaced 2

burned out lightbulbs in the kitchen, tried to start their fireplace

til my Mom insisted that I get home to my own family. Drove home,

made supper, washed more dishes and re-cleaned the kitchen. It was

7:30 pm before I sat down on the couch with my kids.

But hey, thanks for the kick in the ass...today I'll get off my duff

and DO something.

I wanted to respond to your email last night but my son was losing his mind

to get in touch with his girlfriend!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gee!

Anyway, just wanted to say that I hear you about the depression and please

keep up the fight. Good days are coming.

Dear Coyote:

You are so efficient. I envy you, the day is a blur because you do all

those uninteresting chores. Nothing fun or exciting. I wish I had your focus

(ADD) and get done half what you get done in my day. You have two homes spic

and

spam by yourself!

The depression is always lurking to see when to come up. Other than keeping

track of your numerous duties, you have to have that " tape " in your head being

completelly positive about yourself, your life and what you are

accomplishing. You have reason to be depressed about your dad's situation. You

can be

proud of all that you are doing for him. You have to know that they appreciate

and admire all you do whether they say it or not.

Here I go again being Polyanna, but it hurts to see a dear friend feeling

bad. You know we appreciate and admire you here. Be well, take care of

yourself

by doing something for yourself, not housekeeping or running errands. Enjoy

the company of your wonderful husband and daughters.

Hugs,

Josie
