Guest guest
As we approach the tax season my mind is full of ideas as far as getting the most out of our medical deduction as possible. Especially since the federal govt. is not going to help me with disability since I " chose " to be a mom and not contribute to my credits in the past 7 years... anyway I digress. One of the things we are hoping to do this year is take advantage of the medical deduction, in the past we have not had enough expenses. So I am about to embark on the task of organizing all of the records over the past year for expenses... travel mileage for out of town doctor's, a portion of the hot tub we installed, part of the health club membership, etc... Has anyone ever claimed a portion of their power/utility bill? I ask because we often will keep the house cooler or warmer depending on how I am feeling and the bills really got high this past year. I feel a deduction in there somewhere..... Anyone else have any more creative things I may overlook? Thanks! Sam
