increase in cognitive awarness

Has anyone noticed an increase in cognitive awareness in their LO's

at any point in this " journey " ? During the last 3 weeks or so, my Dad

has been so much more aware. He called me by name, something he

hasn't done since 9-11, knew Christmas as coming, and last week,

asked if I had gotten my Christmas present and knew what I had sent

him. The conversations are getting shorter, 1 to less than 2

minutes, but he seems to " remember " that I call every Saturday

morning at the same time. I'm not complaining, just confused, he is

so much better this year than last. Even his wife has noticed and

assured me that they have not changed his meds, his short time on

Exelon was horrible. She thinks that perhaps he is more relaxed

because the doctor said he would not be coming so see him any more.

Any thoughts anyone?
