Hi -

Just wanted to welcome you.

I haven't posted much latley but this is a wonderful place to come

for support and answers or suggestions to your problems with your

mom.

My mom too is in a NH which breaks my heart but we were told she

needed 24/7 care and my sister or i am there every night.

She is 73 years young and i never thought her life would come to this.

She too was so aggitated that it was scarey.

She takes Effexor and the upped it about 31/2 weeks ago and she is so

calm now. It's such a blessing for us. She still gets confused but

can carry on great conversation too. I'm not saying this is the

answer for your mom because i found out from this site that everyone

is different and a lot are the same. What works for one might not for

another.

I also know that she can change overnight and back to bad days but

i'm taking these good days and getting the most i can out of them.

I'm sorry you have to be going through this horrible disease in your

family.

Hugs to you!

Sharon
