Guest guest
Dear : How nice to hear from you again! I hope all is well with you and your family. Many warm Christmas wishes to all. Hugs and love, Josie > Hi Courage,i'm back!!. > Just wanted to comment on the coughing, when i read your post it reminded me of granda. > The less he walked the more he coughed and even walking the few steps it took to get to the bathroom really took it out of him, he would be so out of breath. > We had it checked out and it turned out he had heart failure which we were told can be common in LBD sufferers, although not severe in the sense that it would end their life. > The other thing i found was that as granda's swallowing went was that he would pant when eating, sorry i've no more to offer but i hope this helps. > .x > Coughing > > > Hi All, > > I've noticed over the last few weeks that mom seems to be doing more coughing. I thought that perhaps she had a cold but that didn't pan out. Now I'm thinking that she is probably having difficulty swallowing (my sister bought a pill splitter and I've cut all her pills in half for easier swallowing or else mom keeps the pills in her mouth and tries to throw them out when I'm not looking). Also, I think that because mom is hardly getting any excerise - she pants just walking to and from the bathroom 20 steps away - that her lungs are trying to clear themselves up. Have any of you found this to be true for your LO's once they stopped walking as much? > Also, want to apologise to all as I didn't get a chance to send the knitted blankets to the Toronto Humane Society today on behalf of our LO's. I waited all day for my daughter to pick them up but I suppose she isn't coming after all. I'm currently nursing a very sore throat and fever or else I would have gone myself but if worse comes to worse I'll hop on the streetcar and deliver them myself tomorrow afternoon. > One more thing. I was watching this show about people getting married on TLC and they were showing a couple at their ceremony. At this point I thought mom was very deeply asleep but when the priest said " in the name of the father, the son and the holy ghost " I saw mom cross herself even though her eyes were shut tight. I had to jam my hand on mouth to prevent myself from laughing out load. > Hope you are all well. > Courage > > Please follow this link to learn more about Lewy Body Dementia > http://www.lewybodydementia.org > > >
Guest guest
Hi Josie, yeah everything is fine here, just dreading our first christmas without granda though. I went back to work, hence the the reason for not being about so much,i'm working some very long shifts and crazy hours. The strange thing is i've ended up working right across the road from where granda died and i'm finding it all a bit emotional but i'm sure in time i'll get used to it. Hope you and the girls are keeping well. love .xx Coughing > > > Hi All, > > I've noticed over the last few weeks that mom seems to be doing more coughing.
